09/06/2019: Prevent Fraud-Identity Theft, Phishing and Pharming

Be cautious with any and all emails that you receive.  Typically, the scammer will send an email that appears to be legitimate.  The email may look like it is coming from your bank, credit card company, social security office, employer, or investment company.  Sometimes it will have a link to a website to “verify” your information, but the website and/or email is fake and is only made to look real so they can steal your information.  Scammers gain access to your information, then use that information to apply for credit cards, loans and financial accounts.
